Welcome to John Adams Elementary! We are located in the vibrant Normal Heights community of San Diego. Our enrollment of 350 students, from preschool through grade 5, represents a diverse student population including 26% English Language Learners. We offer rigorous instruction focused on Common Core State Standards as well as believe in attending to the whole child through our extensive arts programs (dance, music, and visual arts), technology, physical education, social-emotional programs, and our Dual-Language 90/10 Spanish immersion program. Upper-grade students hold leadership roles through our Lighthouse Student Team and Ally Action group as well as other leadership opportunities.

Adams’ mission is for all students to develop a love of learning in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. We will prepare students to be productive citizens who practice respect, collaboration and honesty.
