Our school's general education curriculum is based on the district's Course of Study, K-12. In addition to meeting a legal requirement, the Course of Study provides information about the district's educational programs and approved instructional materials. It also outlines state and district requirements, district cross-curricular programs, special education programs, student assessment, and more.
Homework
We believe that "Practice makes permanent" and homework is one way that students can review, extend, and solidify their academic skills. Students will be responsible for completing homework in accordance with the classroom teacher's homework policy. Parents will receive details about homework at our Back to School night in September as well as through teacher correspondence. The elementary school years are the foundation for establishing effective study skills and responsibility. Please support your child in developing these important habits by ensuring that your student has a quiet place to complete homework, turns in assignments on time, and that you check the quality of their work. Praise your child for a job well done for his or her effort in school and on homework!
